HQB2 HIGH QUALITY BUTYL TAPE
HQB2 is a similar product to HQB1 but with enhanced adhesive characteristics for more demanding applications where there are requirements for a degree of bonding particularly difficult materials such as polyethylene in the damp proof/jointing market.For this sector, HQB2 has a lower water vapour permeability than HQB1. HQB1W HIGH QUALITY BUTYL TAPE
HQB1W is a preformed high performance polyisobutylene (PIB) based sealing tape available in single strand, multi-lane rolls & tailored extruded profiles. This product has a multitude of applications where joints need to be formed to seal against air and water ingress or water release. The product is cost effective, non-toxic and requires no tools to apply. HQB1W can also be used as a malleable none-setting putty or gap filler, we can supply in putty form on request.

HQB1T HIGH QUALITY BUTYL TAPE
HQB1T is a preformed high performance butyl rubber based sealing tape available in single strand or multi-lane rolls. This product has been developed primarily for the tunnelling industry where a firmer sealant is required to seal against air and water ingress. This product is often required in much larger profiles and can be manufactured in sizes up to 45mm in thickness. The product is cost effective, non toxic and requires no tools to apply.
HQBflash-bond HIGH QUALITY BUTYL TAPE
HQBflash-bond is a pre-formed high performance polyisobutylene (PIB) based sealing tape available in various widths. This product has a multitude of applications where joints need to be formed to seal against air and water ingress. The product has a specially designed polymer laminate that can be used to replace lead in many roofing applications. The backing adds dimensional stability and can be easily over-laid with further tape. It can also be used for temporary and semi-permanent leak repair. The product is cost effective, non-toxic and requires no tools to apply.
TAYFIRE UNIVERSAL FIRE (TUF) SEAL – 4 ½ HR SEISMIC SEAL
The Tayfire Universal Fire (TUF) Seal is a passive linear gap seal which has been independently tested by Warrington Fire Research Centre to BS 476: Part 20: 1987 including joints, achieving over 4 hours integrity.
It is intended for use as a fire and smoke sealing system for all kinds of gaps and joints including larger than normal movement, expansion and contraction, typically as required in metal framed buildings, airports, shopping malls & tunnel joints. It also forms a specialised system to address the typical 3 axis movement that occurs in the event of seismic shock.
Gaps and joints created during construction tend to be uneven in width and the formation of a weather resistant fire and cold smoke seal can cause problems whilst at times ensuring adequate air flow through cavities in ambient conditions.
The Tayfire Universal Fire (TUF) Seal has been designed to overcome these problems. The system consists of retaining brackets bonded with specialist intumescent material. An outer layer of glass cloth bonded with intumescent encompasses the seal.
It is available in 1 metre lengths, is easily and quickly installed. TUF seals are durable and require minimum maintenance. The fire properties of the seal are not affected by water and can therefore be fitted in areas subject to water ingress.
The seal is designed to cater for movement in all directions and can cope with a joint which has a movement range from 25mm up to 185mm.
The versatility of the TUF seal allows it to be used in a wide variety of internal and external applications in both new build and refurbishment.
Seismic movement joint. Floor separation fire/movement joint.
Fire seal to wall cavities. Junction of compartment wall/floor or structural soffit.
Joint at wall heads. Joint between cladding and floor.
The Tayfire Universal Fire seal has been tested at Warrington Fire Centre to BS 476: Part 20: 1987 and achieved 270 minutes integrity and up to 190 minutes insulation.

All our tapes should be applied to surfaces at a temperature range of between +4 and +30 deg.C. For best performance the surfaces should be clean, dry, and grease free. The product should be unwound and lightly pressed into position leaving the release paper in place. On forming the joint the release paper is removed and the closing surface pushed firmly in place, pressure applied along the length of the joint and mechanically fixed if necessary.
